Dying Hard Drive?

I have a WD 250G IDE USB 2.0 external drive. When I connect to computer, I got a message "I/O device error". The drive's icon still shows up but I can not open it. The property of the drive shows it has 0 space.

Interestingly, when I connect the drive to a different laptop with USB 1.0 connection, the drive works well.

Sounds like a pc problem. But some message from internet suggests that my drive is dying. What do you think?
