I formated my hard drive

Hi, high hand. I accidentally half-formatted my secondary hard drive on which I had lots of valuable data. Is it possible to restore those data? I remember that years ago there was an "unformat" command to do that job. But seems that it is not avalaible now. Who can help me? Thanks a million.
