I bought one two years ago. I use it on airplane. It works fine. I think there are more choices out there now depending how much money you want to spend. Bose claims to be the best but also more expensive. I think Maxwell, Sony, RCA, Phillips all produces very good phones at a fraction of cost.

But remember, these phones work best to cancel noise that is constant such as machinery noise. It is not quite good to shield human conversation.
