我的 1GB RAM 为什么只显示 512 MB？

我刚买了一个 1GB 的RAM， 装上后查 SYSTEM， 只有 512MB。在EBAY上买的，是被骗了，还是机器不认识？我用的是P4， XP PRO，DELL 4600C。
