After installing McAfee, PC is extremly slow

when surfing internet. Sometimes the webpage is totally unopenable. I am using McAfee® Total Protection 2007 (10-in-1 Protection).

I tried to update it online, scanned C drive, defragmented the C drive. Nothing helped. Old posts did not provid solution.

What's your advice? Thanks!
