480Mb/s is 480Mbits/s which is 60MBytes/s. This is
the speed from interface to interface. Your file
has to go through U-S-B interfaces, OS program, system
memory and finally hard disk. By go through those
stages the transfer speed slows down significantly.
Consider you only have 5400RPM hard drive, 4.2MBytes/s
is not bad.
