Hi, thanks for your reply.

I am totally new to the Linux, and trying to play with it. The reason of trying to installing Linux on an external hard disk is to avoid corrupting the host machine which stores a lot of useful files. But this external one is 400G, I do not want to use all of them for Linux.

Any advice will be appreciated.
