plug the new mouse in other to test the mouse, if the mouse works, it means problem in the computer. if the mouse has no problem, shutdown your computer, unplug the power cord ( it is must), and wait more than 30 seconds. plug in the mouse, restart your computer, and check if mouse works, you can also test your movable storage at same time
