help: no audio device

Hi, guys
Help, I have a HP Pavilion 524C 1.8GZ desktop. The system crashed several days ago and asked me to replace the primary drive as the current one is bad. So I add a new hard drive and reistall Windows XP, but there is "no audio device", I tried many ways to fix it, including checking HP website for driver download and troubleshooting, and downloading software from www.driverguide.com,the problem is still there. What should I do now? The system has integrated sound card with the motherboard.
