Router too slow.should I use neighbor's network?

I just have cable DSL installed and bought a Linksys router but my son found that it is very slow when using our own network. However, it's a lot faster connecting to the neighbor's linksys network(it's not secured and it's picked up by my wireless card). Should I cancel my internet service and just use the neighbor's?
