CORE 2 DUO is true dual core CPU. Dual-Core just connects 2 CPU through the front-bus (533 or 800 Mhz). Core 2 Duo is much better than dual-core from the power comsuption and operation speed. However, the speed is not simply as double the one-core, it may be run 25% faster than one core.
