请教:如何把大的影像文件转换成小尺寸的文件

我从DVD摄像机存入硬盘的影像文件都是MPEG格式的,怎么转换成小尺寸的文件.就象把照片由BIMP文件转成JPEG文件,文件尺寸就大大缩小了一样.
