重装WINDOWS-HELP!!!

我机器原本有WINDOWS　ＭＥ．后又装上朋友的ＷＩＮＤＯＷＳ XP. 所以每次启动需选择ME或XP.ME 占2G空间,XP占18G空间.

因XP是朋友DELL随机配的,我无法ACTIVATE.所以现在我无法进入XP.只能用ME，而ＸＰ的１８Ｇ空间我无法使用．

我现在想RECLAIM XP的18G空间到ME,不知如何做.

我试了如下操作，　无一成功．
１）　用SAFＥ　ＭＯＤＥ进入ＸＰ，可在ＸＰ里无法安装ＭＥ因为ＭＥ是１６位．
２）　试用ＷＩＮＤＯＷＳME盘启动,我设制了ＣＤ　ＦＩＲＳＴ　在机器BOOT SEQUENCE．可每次机器总是用硬盘启动,只让我选用XP或ME,没有出现从CD启动的提示.

如果我买一张ＸＰ盘，应该可以进入ＸＰ后重装ＸＰ．可机器已很旧了，我不想再花钱买盘．只想用ＭＥ算了．可怎样才能ＲＥＣＬＡＩＭ　ＸＰ　占用的１８Ｇ空间．
