Headache: My Sony Audio receiver is dead

Hi Electronic gurus -
(there is no such forum in WXC so pardon me to post here)

My Sony surround sound system receiver STR-K840P is showing "Protect" whenever I turn the receiver on, and no sound comes out. I googled and seems quite a bit people had this problem. I wonder if anyone here know how to fix it?
