Norton software rebates Scam!

I bought some Norton products from Bestbuy one year ago--"Systemworks, Firewall, and Antispam" all for $90. Supposedly, I should get all the money back after rebate. But I sent out two different rebate forms and never heard anything. I didn't copy the rebate material like I should, so I don't have anything to even ask questions. I emailed Norton about the issue but never heard back from them. The likelihood of both rebate submissions got lost is very low. This never happened to me before. When I see the deal, it seemed too good to be true. Looks like it is. The lesson, I will only buy from small venders some older editions of softwares for low price from now on. Or I can buy some cheaper pirated copies from China, however, I heard that they are not very compatible with the computers in the US. What should I do?
