i assume that either computer can go online when hooked up to dsl model directly, but when both hooked up to router, they both cannot.

you may also want to try 192.168.0.1 different manufacturers may have different local network access addresses.

also try this: open a dos command window, run commands:
ipconfig /all and show us results. probably you need to renew dhcp using ipconfig /release & ipconfig /renew
