没联过无线网，问个台式机和无线 router 的问题

新公寓没有 Internet Cable 但是有免费无线。我本来打算给手提加个外接无线卡就得了。后来发现本来要扔的台式机没死，所以在想怎么能让它也上网。以前我是用一般的 router 和 cable 线联这两台机器的 (当然都有口、卡)。

现在的第一个问题是，台式机上无线网也是买个外接卡吗？另一个问题是无线 router 是否只能下接到无线用户？

如果无线 router 只能下接无线用户，那么我就得指望第一个问题的答案是 “是” 了。

如果无线 router 也可以下接 cable, 那么我就可能不用给台式机买外接卡，而是买个 无线 router 了，哪怕 router 比 ext. wireless card 要贵。

请指教了。
