Computer crashed, need to reinstall Window 2000

I kept getting 'inaccessible_boot_device' when I restarted my computer. I'm thinking of re-install Windows to recover it. Can anyone tell me how I can install Window 2000. I hit F8 to go to install and choose from 'safe mode' to 'debug mode', basically every mode on the list. I'm still getting 'inaccessible_boot_device'. How can I go to DOS, and run install there?
