Can i install Linux in an acer notebook

Try to buy Acer Aspire 5004WLMi Notebook PC (AMD Turion 64 1.8GHz, 1GB/100GB, 15.4" WXGA, DVD burner, Wireless 802.11b/g, XP Home), and then remove or dual OP. Any suggestions? thank you.
