The average financial aid package for undergraduates at Rice University is higher than the average at Northwestern University: 
 
 
  • Rice University: The average need-based financial aid package for undergraduates is $65,293. In fall 2022, 45% of first-year students received need-based financial aid, and the average need-based scholarship or grant was $59,908. Rice aims to fund 100% of demonstrated need.

    The average need-based financial aid package for undergraduates is $63,543. Most families making less than $60,000 per year attend Northwestern at no cost, and most families making less than $150,000 per year attend tuition-free.
