I am sorry to hear about your divorce.  

Regarding your question about lease modification,  since you and your husband signed the lease jointly, you are still joinly liable for the rent until the terminate of the lease, even after you moved out.   There is no law requiring to remove your name from the lease except in the case of domestic violence. 

However, if you can get a court order or obtain a provision in your divorce agreement or decree that your name shall be removed from the lease, I will honor that court order, agreement and/or decree.   Please provide the order/agreement on how two of you will take the security deposit after the end of the lease, e.g. percentage to whom.  

After that, the lease signed by your husband and you will be voided.  If your husband wants to stay, he will have to apply individually as a new tenant, pay a separate deposit, and sign a new lease.   He is welcomed to apply before the lease is terminated to see if he still qualifies, to avoid any surprises.
