My kid was deferred by Pomona last year and eventually denied.
Luckily she was accepted by Harvey Mudd and is super happy there.
She walks to Pomona often, to meet with friends, to attend concerts, and to use the library and cafeteria there.
She loves the daily lighting shows in Pomona's Skyspace.
She said that she was glad to have turned down some bigger name schools (a top-10 school and an Ivy) to come to Claremont.
The Claremont Colleges give kids a lot of opportunities.
My kid has had dinner with the president of Harvey Mudd along wtih a few other students and attended talks by distinguished guests at The Athenaeum in Claremont McKenna (and actually sat next to the speaker at the same table at the formal sit-down dinner during one of the talks).
She have gone hiking many times with professors on weekends.
