查了一下，吴2012年基本薪水$18万，总收入$34万。不知北大如何付她。

饶毅卸任北大生科院长 UCLA吴虹教授出任新院长

　　摘要：北京大学生命科学学院宣布饶毅卸任生命科学学院院长（财苑），美国加州大学洛杉矶分校吴虹教授（女）将出任新一任院长。2007年以来，饶毅一直担任北大生命科学学院院长一职。他除了在科研领域的成就外，曾因为落选中国科学院院士并宣布“永不参选”而为公众熟知。

　　北大党委组织部宣读关于生命科学学院新一届行政领导班子的任命决定，原班子成员自然免职。饶毅就是原行政班子的成员，属“自然免职”。北大校长王恩哥充分肯定了饶毅教授率领的上一届行政班子所取得的成绩，高度评价并感谢他们为此所付出的努力。

　　吴虹为加州大学洛杉矶分校分子和医学药理学系教授。她在北大医学院取得学士学位后，在哈佛大学取得生物化学博士学位，其在UCLA的实验室主要进行肿瘤细胞信号转导及分子机制研究。

　　曾批评科研经费分配体制

　　饶毅担任北大生命科学学院院长期间，曾与好朋友、清华大学生命科学学院院长施一公在《科学》杂志上联合撰文，批评中国的科研经费分配体制和科研文化问题。他们的批评引发了广泛关注。在2011年中科院院士增选时，饶毅未能进入初选名单，随即饶毅对外宣布，放弃申请中科院院士。

　　卸任后，饶毅在博客里发表了卸任辞“尽其心以事天”。饶毅代表上一届学院行政班子说，他们的基本原则是孟子所谓“尽其心以事天”。在北大面向海内外公开招聘生命科学学院院长人选时，饶毅就在博客中谈到其去职问题。

　　其实，从2007年担任北大生科院院长一职以来，饶毅并不是第一次提出辞职，他说：“我大概对5到6位提出过，希望对方来做院长。”饶毅表示：“为了北大生科发展，就需要尽一切可能招聘好的人，包括院长。”

　　吴虹，博士。美国加州大学洛杉矶分校分子和医学药理学系教授。美国加州大学洛杉矶分校分子遗传技术中心主任。JCCC癌症干细胞研究项目联合副主任。JCCC泌尿生殖系统肿瘤项目成员，信号转导研究及治疗项目成员，加州大学洛杉矶分校脑研究所成员。在北大医学院取得学士学位后，留学美国。在哈佛大学取得生物化学博士学位，麻省理工学院白头研究所博士后。其在UCLA的实验室主要进行肿瘤细胞信号转导及分子机制研究。

Hong Wu, M.D., Ph.D, researches the molecular mechanisms of PTEN, a common tumor suppression gene that is often deleted in cancer. She uses a combination of molecular genetics, cell biology and biochemical approaches to study PTEN. By analyzing cells and animals lacking the tumor suppressor gene, Dr. Wu has demonstrated that PTEN negatively regulates stem cell self-renewal, proliferation and survival, providing a strong link between stem cell biology and cancer biology.

Dr. Wu also has established various animal models for human cancers, including breast and prostate cancer. These mouse cancer models offer unique tools for exploring the molecular mechanism underlying human cancers and for development of new therapies. She recently has embarked on research that may result in more controllable growth of embryonic stem cells, which hold promise as therapies for cancers and neurological diseases.

Dr. Wu came to stem cell research as a graduate student working on the most efficient way to introduce disease-related mutations into genes. Her interest further expanded to blood stem cells, which make all the cells that comprise blood, during her postdoctoral work. She hopes her studies will shed light on the molecular basis of human diseases and one day help to eradicate the root cause of many cancers.

In addition to her affiliation with the Broad Stem Cell Research Center, Dr. Wu also is a member of UCLA’s Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Institute for Molecular Medicine and the ULCA Molecular Biology Institute. Dr. Wu earned her doctorate in biological chemistry at Harvard and her medical degree at Beijing Medical College. A professor of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology, Dr. Wu joined the UCLA faculty in 1996 after serving as a Damon Runyon-Walter Winchell postdoctoral fellow at the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research at MIT.

Dr. Wu also is a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, American Society of Hematology, American Association for Cancer Research, American Society for Microbiology, American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Society of Chinese Biochemists in America and the Chinese Biomedical Research Investigator Society.

Dr. Wu’s research is funded by the National Institutes of Health, the Prostate Cancer Foundation and William Lawrence and Blanche Hughes Foundation.
