will pay gift tax over a certain threshold ($13,000).

But as you said, every time you receive or di*****urse more than 10,000, the bank will file a report.  So if you are constantly receiving gifts of more than 10g, you will at least have to be able to explain where they come from....like you have many rich relatives in China.  :)))
