work in usa is no difference compare to working in beijing or shanghai in term of distance and travel time. if you really care that much your parents, you can take several unpaid leave to visit them as long as you wish. even if you live work in china, i doubt how more often you could visit your parents...
as a parent, i wish you don't treat your parent as a burden, and don't use your parents as a reason to reteat.
