you are trying to cut corners to save some (the larger portion) cost of living: housing and transportation (cars). Yes, these two items are EXTREMELY expensive in China and they are certainly on your corner list. But they are what the mainstream American residents demand, and I personally agree with this demand.

So, if you cannot afford these expensive items in China, I will advise you cut these corners.
