I think you've been in university for too long so that you isolate yourself from much more complicated society. Your idea is not easy to realize even if you give up here, and even if you get pro. position in Tsinghua. Life is art and needs planning. To enjoy scientific work you must have enough food and relaxed daily life, which are all based on finance, I think.

Make some money with your knowledge first. I think any ability you have is from your knowledge, namely you needn't regret that you have to pause your current interest.

Any university in China is not easy to adapt yourself to. Many kinds of cometition are there, few fair most unfair. This is my experience.
