回复：要放弃Tenure Track回国了

If you are just an assistant professor with no tenure and no established academic record, you will be nothing just like other thousands of PhDs in China once you give up everything here and go back to China. Things are not as simple as you would think. Your former professor's promise may be sincere, but he is not the alternate decision maker. Since you are a professor, why do not you visit your parents during the summer, winter and spring, fall breaks? why can't you get some kind of Changjian scholar which does not need you give up the job here?
