First of all The person wanted, and liked to compare Ballet with Broadway show was Guy100, Please see copy
nice . but i prefer broadway shows and musicals. :-) -Guy100- ♂

However, I don’t see there is anything wrong to compare orange to apple!
They are both fruits. We, Chinese, usually like to compare which one is tastier, and which one is juicier.
Only Americans don’t know how to compare orange with apple, because they don’t have a good “taste”.

FYI. Most principle dancers in NYCB came from Russia even though, NYCB choreographing level is still far away from Russian, that was my point, and that was what I compared for, in my previous post. Again, I compared nothing but choreographing.
