Also, someone does not know enough of China's goodness to be proud of it, does not equate to he thinks all Chinese are bad or discriminate anything and everything that is relating to China.

"Not knowing" is determined by the environment, which is out of his control. Not willing to learn sth. you don't know is a personality thing, and it is very commong.
