It's not that difficult......

If he wants you to stay with him, tell him he has to realize that you're making a sacrifice for your love and him. So you'd expect him to reciprocate the favor.

Because of the above, as well as the long term health of your relationship, he would have to assimilate more Chinese culture, i.e. becoming more Chinese than he is now. That includes learning Chinese, making Chinese friends, understand how Chinese think and behave, etc.

If he doesn't think it's something he'd be willing to do or keep doing, then all bets are off. If he really loves you as much as he claims, he will think it's a very fair trade-off. This may be a great test for him.
