(there are two Ranch99 and many Chinese eateries for 180,000 people, not to mention there are little Saigon(Fountain Valley/Westminister), Little Korea (Garden Grove) twenty minutes away) and SD northern areas (one Ranch99 plus many Chinese eateries and significant number of Korean stores as well). Coronado and La Jolla are tourist hotspots but they also have many well established neighborhoods. You just need to have money to live in those areas. Those locations‘ housing prices are similar to Cupertino and Palo Altos.
