It is nonsense!

If you had chance to listen to some of those amateur earth quake forecasters, you would know that they talk like GLG people. The issue of earth quake forecast is not if you could get one big earth quake, but how many false forecast you will make. In US, scientist will tell you that the chance for a big earth quake in Bay Area is 100% in the next 1,000 years, but can't tell what will happen in next month, year, 5 years. Then what is the usefulness of those forcasts? This article is making a lot of nonsense statement. I knew some of the argument 25 years ago!!! They are still making same argument. They will tell you that they forecast many earth quakes, but will NEVER tell you how many false forecasts they have made. If you can find one in this article, you would be lucky. In fact, I have never seen them report those number EVER! That is the one of reasons that their "papers" could not been published in reviewed scientific journals. If you believed in their forecst, then millions of people in China would be living in the tents every year!!!!

They tried to talk about the qualification of Chen as beeing able to do the earth forecast. Well, they just talked about his family history. As you know, those issues have nonthing to do with his research. If he made a presentation for professional conference in US, those kind of introduction by orgnizers would for sure making people laugh!
