Get one of those unlocked phone from TMobile. You can easily buy a number in China every time you go there. You can get a number and 50 RMB worth of minutes for 60 only, in SH. It's more expensive in BJ, around 200. Maybe I got a raw deal at the time. But it's really convenient, and you can roll into any program to make it long term.
