As the legitimate leader of China, Chinese government should show respect and gratitude to those who died for bettering the country, and compensate their families of their lost. It is a way for the government to ask the forgiveness from the Chinese people and heal the old wound. It allows the whole country can move on together and not be completely divided as it is now.
