if what you said is true, I believe in you and applaud your success.
I just graduated from MBA of an ivy league school famous for its finance education. I turned down offers from top investment banks in order to get a job in buy side. Work part-time for a sub-billion hedge fund but got scared by the frenzy of the industry so I went to private equity, making just above 6 digits salary and waiting for my tiny bonus for the first time.
You were smart to go to B-school soon after your shitty science master degree and graduated at one of the best time for equity research analysts. I came to US to study computer science in a top engineering school and then stuck there for too long. Don't know when I will make the first 1MM yet.
Were you covering industry or high yield at sell side?
Good luck
