You are obviously commendable for offering help to someone in need, and were justly rewarded with the avoidance of a major accident. And you've gained valuable experience, that one should only offer help within one's abilities, and should be frank about it, and that no matter what level of expertise, one should always respect road conditions. So congrats on that.
However, your post demonstrates that:
1, You may have developed a condescending attitude towards others ("老女人", "垃圾老外" etc). I don't see how you (or any of us) are any better than that old lady.
2, You seem to be blaming others for your own inexperience. Anyone asking you for help is in no position to tell what your abilities are, and is in no way accountable. You are accountable for your own actions, as always.
3, You seem to have developed a phobia for out-of-town driving now. Why? Be a little careful and you should be fine. By your description, that road wasn't a divided one, so it doesn't even really count as a highway (usually something like an interstate).
I sincerely hope that your post reflects just the temporary effect of the incident. If tomorrow you still think this way, then you've learned all the wrong lessons from this.
Anyway, welcome to the wonderful world of driving, and enjoy it.
Cheers.
You learned the wrong lesson..
