同类型的车美国车和日本车的新车差价要4千以上，少说点就4000。
别看出厂价，after factory rebates, dealer rebates，新tauras可以$14k 买到，比同样配置却小得多camry省了可不只4000块

the assumption was wrong to stare with, let's say someone wants a middle size family sedan while the customer does not care how many cylinder the car has. so there are two options, let's say,
one is camry, the other is malibu

the 05 camry LE auto costs around 18000 with 2.9% rebate

the 05 malibu LS costs aroiund 16800 with all the rebate,

after five years, which one holds better value. you do save 1200 but going with malibu. you tell me, which one should the consumer choose and which one offers the better value?

If you can make this clear, then i think a lot of friends will choose malibu without any hesitation, come on, here is your chance to explain it more clearly.
