According to a Kelley Blue Book report released in October 2025, the average price paid for a new car in the U.S. surpassed $50,000 for the first time in September 2025, reaching $50,080. This milestone was driven by strong sales of more expensive luxury vehicles and electric vehicles (EVs). 

我们这里买车不交税，但是每年区里都要给每个车主寄来一个你的车的现在的估价，然后根据这个估价交税。区里今年对我的 2002 Honda Accord 的估价是100美元，我先以为少印了一个零，因为就算当成废铁卖（超过三千镑的废铁）也不止100美元吧，反正区里只收了32美元的手续费，税就免了。我想开着100美元的车上班，招摇过市肯定也是创纪录吧，是不是脸皮太厚了一点？
