104361 has LS (limited slip) additives, this 112811 does not. This 112811 75W-90 gear oil is also slightly thicker than the 104361. It's viscosity lies more in the middle of the 90 weight range (15.9cSt@100°C, 120cSt@40°C Vs 14.6cSt@100°C, 103cSt@40°C for the LS version). The flashpoint is higher for this non-LS version (205°C vs 150°C), and the pour point is also lower (-48°C vs -39°C), pointing to the base oil being more robust (more PAO maybe?). It is also a (tiny) bit more thermally stable due to not having the LS additives (it's service life will be slightly longer). Bottom line, if you have a non-limited slip open differential then this gear oil is probably better than the LS version. see less
