Unlike direct system which measures the real pressure in the tire, Indirect system takes advantage of ABS sensors to compare each wheel's rotational speed to others on a straight path. If one spins faster than the others, the system decides the tire's diameter has reduced due to lack of air, then triggers the light. If all four tires pressure drops at the same rate I guess it wouldn't work.
