It was years ago so it’s probably around $1,000 now. Check with your insurer. I always like to let insurance company pay but if only $200 just pay by yourself. Even if insurance is going to pay $1000 for the damage, it’s unlikely to affect your premium. So either way is fine but I prefer just paying $200 out of my own pocket to avoid filing claims, waiting and adversely affecting my record if I am in the same situation.
