Wife and I were driving our RV across Florida and were nearing a town spelled Kissimmee. We noted the strange spelling and tried to figure out how to pronounce it — KISS-me, kiss-A-me, kiss-a-ME. We grew more perplexed as we drove into the town. Since it was lunch time, we pulled into a place to get something to eat. At the counter while ordering foods, I said to the cashier “My wife and I can’t figure out how to pronounce this place. Will you tell me where we are and say it slowly so that I can understand?” The cashier flipped her beautiful eyes then looked at me and said, “Buuurrrgerrr Kiiinnnnng.”
