菜鸟又来请教了。power steering leaking

06年sienna. 82K miles. 去修车铺换drive belt的时候说查出来power steering leaking. 

1.need to replace steering rack & pinion, power steering system flush & fill .

2.perform transmission fluid system

一共要$1287.  

我一个朋友说别修了，卖了吧。 另一个朋友也说别修，但是因为开的时候感觉不到什么问题，就让它去，等出问题再说。 

请教高手们，到底应该怎么办？
