about 3 years ago scratched bumper of a new sienna van

near school parking lot. they got estimate > $1k, let them go insurance (both parties are Geico), later I saw Geico paid something like $700 for the repair. Don't remember if they only repaint or replace. I did not even ask to repair my old van's side. (I turned too fast and the right side scratched the parked car's bumper)

Not sure if that 1st quote is way off, or Geico got a sweetheart price because it is from left pocket to right pocket:-)
