Plaintiffs across the United States have brought a class action lawsuit against Toyota Motor Corporation alleging that their Toyota vehicles have defective engines.
Defective engines put drivers and passengers in immediate danger. The 2AZ-FE engines in the plaintiff’s vehicles were predisposed to an excessively high rate of engine oil consumption. The Oil Consumption Defect allows the vehicle to burn or consume abnormal amounts of engine oil. Oil Consumption Defect can cause engine failure in a moving vehicle at any time under any driving condition.
The class action lawsuit states that Toyota breached Express Warranty, breached The Duty of Good Faith and Fair Dealing, violated California’s Song-Beverly Act, Common Law Fraud, and violated several state specific business and consumer protections.
