全保换半保的问题

吃了ticket被记点, renew保险时半年涨了130多. agent建议把旧车改成半保(10+ year old car, 10+ mile), 这样能把保费降下110~120. 我理解的是如果对方撞我, 又没有保险, 或者hit and run, 我得自己出钱了. 想请教建议这么做吗?

两辆车半年600多, 这个rate怎么样? AAA 和costco的保险怎么样?
