Hi everyone, had a bad day and hope you can help me out:
I live in PA. Drove home this evening passing by a football practice field. A 7 yo threw a rock and cracked my windshield. His dad did come forward and gave me his name, Phone # and email. I called 911 and a policeman came and took down the kid's name, b-day, the father's name, phone # and address. He took down my name, phone # and address, driver license, registration, insurance. My question is - Is the parent liable for his kid breaking my windshield? I just dropped my comprehensive coverage. I'm concerned that I might get stuck w/ the repair cost if the dad doesn't want to pay. I may need to go after the football club. Any advice will be appreciated.
