long time ago i bought a cd from ebay for my car. i initially thought it's a good deal once i got it i realized i was misled - the cd has almost every car in it, but with very shallow info basically it's more of concept; you can't follow it for diy.
the printed version is typically a manufacturer's shop book - for your specific car only. it has vast and very detailed info which is designed for the audience of mechanic in shops. you get what you pay for.
