Honestly, I would think this is a problem with air trapped in the heater core rather than a plugged heater core after the flush. Of course, it is hard to say without knowing what exactly these people have performed such flush process.
what do you think?

Finally, the problem is identified and fixed: it's a heater core plugged! They charged me $78 for the service and $6 for the coolant (right after cooling system clean in the last time)
Now the question is: whether they created/trigged the heat problem? Or it's my car's other problem?
PS. Those day it's so cold that it is truely freezing in a car without heat that made me physically sick!

Slow to be warm
文章来源: halfdummy 于 2003-11-22 21:06:00
I just let a garage did a cooling system clean and transmission flush. But now I see the heating process is a lot slower. Every time I have to wait for 15 min. instead of 3-5 min. to be warm up. This is a big problem in winter.
Is caused by the bad work?

After cooling system clean service done, the heat dissipation become better and warm process will be longer. But 15 minutes seems a little too long. Are your sure it was 15 min? How warm did you reach in 15 min 1/5, 1/4 or 1/3 of full scale of thermal meter?
To US_CAR: it takes 8-10m warm

Thanks for your help. I checked: it does take long time, however, today I saw it's about 8-10 min. Maybe a cold or a warm day is different.
Is it normal to take 8-10 min. to warm up?

How cold was it in your place? and how warm did you make it? You may need to cover you radiator with something if cannot make it warm to normal level after driving 10min.
